With the population of 800,000, one of the largest African tribes is the Maasai of Northern Tanzania and Southern Kenya. Historically, a nomadic and semi-nomadic people, they often keep herds of livestocks, which until recently have been the Maasai’s major source of income. Though they are branching out into other fields, most Maasai prefer herding to any other occupations.
