The MVC Academy Pathfinder Club (PC), under the directorship of Mr. Rochel Clyde Fernando, underwent the South Philippine Union Conference Youth Department‘s Annual Tactical Inspection on January 28.

This is an event when the activities and programs that the club was engaged in during the school year are evaluated. The inspecting team started their evaluation by visiting the PC office and  stockroom and checking the equipment. After that they proceeded to the drill ground to formally start the event.

The highlight of the first part of the program was the Ceremonial Parade followed by the presentation of the Fancy Drills and the yells and songs. The second part was the evaluation of the skills in fire building, tower building, monkey bridge building, camp cookery, First Aid, Knot tying, lashing, semaphore and the theoretical examination.

Despite the muddy condition of the ground, the club members, headed by Club Director Franklin Reyno, did their best to show their smartest performance. This resulted in an over-all Excellent Rating of 98.12% beating last year’s rating of 98.02%.

The Inspecting Team also gave the following members special awards: Aldwin Jan Jarovilla and Karl Maxel Lao, for topping the Theoretical Examination; Orville Jay Ortega for being the smartest unit captain of Division A; Lorrane Azriel Paulican, for being the smartest unit captain of Division B; Elroy Tagaca, for being the smartest guidon bearer of Division A;  Chara Epaggelia Paradero for being the  smartest guidon bearer of Division B; Karl Maxel Lao, for being the smartest element in the inspection in ranks; Alyanna Jaya Monta, for being the outstanding Band Officer; and Franklin Reyno Jr. and Wilden June Biclar, for their leadership.

The evaluating team was headed by MG Heshbon Buscato, the SPUC Youth Director. He was assisted by MG Elmond Mondego, MG Proferio Lagunday, and MG Jun Teves.

The club would like to thank the presence and the undying support of the MVCA faculty, MVC administration, MVC Elementary School teachers and students, college students, parents, Mt. Nebo Barangay Council members, and all who witnessed the program.
